Quotes

Riverside is a fantastic software that has really done a lot of things. You can record 4k video. You can actually get separate audio and video tracks so your guests, so no matter what, even if the internet completely went down, it is still recording on the back end of you and your guests, so you’ll always have the interview.” (5:02)

One of the best features [in SalesReach] is that you can record your video, but it basically saves a GIF of the video that you can use in the email, so they can actually see it’s a personalized video for them.” (8:23)

[With Transistor], you can see the most popular episodes and 30 and 90-day download numbers, and those can be really helpful to understanding your audience and what they’re actually listening to.” (11:30)

What Sendible does that I absolutely love is that I can load a piece of content into the platform and be able to edit based on the platform while staying in the same post.” (13:35)

What’s really helpful about Descript is the instant transcript that we get. It identifies speakers and provides timestamps for us really fast. For our writers, this has been so helpful to be able to quickly locate information, grab quotes, grab timestamps, and just understand the full body of a podcast.” (16:57)

September In The Know

In this month’s In the Know episode, Bryan and Loren steered off their typical path of breaking down trends you need to know. Instead, they discussed five of their favorite tools that we regularly use here at Go Rogue X, and if you tune in, you might hear about a bonus sixth tool! Whether you’re a podcaster, content creator, salesperson, or social media manager, you’re bound to hear about a tool that can help you!

Riverside

We’ve already talked about Riverside in a previous episode, but the trust is, we can’t get enough of it! If you are conducting remote podcast interviews, this tool is an absolute must. Loren likes to call it Fancy Zoom because it operates similarly, but it provides a massive increase in quality.

Riverside records 4k video and uncompressed 48kHz WAV audio, both of which are far and away better than what Zoom provides. Also, it records the files locally, meaning that you won’t have to worry about a poor internet connection messing up your recordings! If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of asking your guests to record themselves and then tape-syncing your audio in the edit, Riverside is a must-have tool.

You can actually get separate audio and video tracks so your guests, so no matter what, even if the internet completely went down, it is still recording on the back end of you and your guests, so you’ll always have the interview.” (5:02)

SalesReach

Are you trying to close a deal with a new potential client? SalesReach is the tool you didn’t know you needed. Essentially, it allows you to create a customized landing page for each lead, but its possibilities are nearly endless. If you are a content creation company, you can upload your content directly to your landing page, as well as create a personalized video for each lead!

One of the best features [in SalesReach] is that you can record your video, but it basically saves a GIF of the video that you can use in the email, so they can actually see it’s a personalized video for them.” (8:23)

Transistor

If you’ve ever looked into starting your own podcast, you know that there are several podcast hosting platforms, making it difficult to know which is best. Ultimately, this decision comes down to your specific needs, but there are definitely a few that rise above the rest. At Go Rogue X, we chose Transistor because we needed to host several podcasts under one account. We also love the analytics it provides, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to improve as podcasting grows.

[With Transistor], you can see the most popular episodes and 30 and 90-day download numbers, and those can be really helpful to understanding your audience and what they’re actually listening to.” (11:30)

Sendible

Like podcast hosting platforms, choosing the right content scheduling platform for you can feel like a chore. There is no shortage of popular choices in this field, and we chose Sendible because of its ability to connect with A LOT of accounts. As a content creation agency, we schedule content for several clients, and each client utilizes multiple social media platforms. Sendible definitely has what we need!

What Sendible does that I absolutely love is that I can load a piece of content into the platform and be able to edit based on the platform while staying in the same post.” (13:35)

If you don’t need the same multi-account functionality that we do, we recommend looking into Hootsuite!

Descript

Branded as a podcast editor and transcription tool, Descript is a multi-faceted tool with plenty of use-cases. We use it primarily for its transcription capabilities, and it is an essential tool for our copywriters.

What’s really helpful about Descript is the instant transcript that we get. It identifies speakers and provides timestamps for us really fast. For our writers, this has been so helpful to be able to quickly locate information, grab quotes, grab timestamps, and just understand the full body of a podcast.” (16:57)

While we do not use its podcast editing capabilities, it can be of great use to solo podcasters without much audio editing experience.

Grammarly

Odds are, you are already familiar with Grammarly. Whether through podcast advertising or paid social ads, Grammarly has done a fantastic job of marketing itself. This grammar and tone checking software is another must-have tool for our copywriters, but it isn’t only for professional writers. It can be installed as a plug-in through Chrome, and each of our employees uses it to quality-check their emails.

While there is a paid version of Grammarly, the free version is beneficial. We recommend starting with their free offering to see how this tool can benefit you!
